Artist Statement:
I started working with
stained glass about 5 years ago. My grandmother had just taken a
stained glass class and asked me to come over so she could show off all
the things she had done. She showed me how to start and that was the
beginning of my adventure in stained glass. I have never taken a class
but everything I have learned was learned from my grandmother, from the
internet and a few books and LOTS of trial and error. This is a
challenging and soul satisfying art medium for me.
I moved to this area with my family in July 2006 from Maryland. I grew
up in Virginia and have also spent a few years in Hawaii. When I am not
in my studio, I enjoy the company of my family while camping, hiking,
scuba
diving and gardening.
