Bluewater Artworks Color Pencil Fine Art and Prints
Artist Statement: Christy's passion for drawing started in elementary school drawing for classmates in charcoal pencil. A Northwest Washington native, she has always had a strong love for the awesome mountains and waterways and for animals. As her talent grew, her Grandmother Beryl Williams encouraged her to pursue her dreams and passions. Christy took up watercolor for a period of time, but desired more detail in her realism based drawings. She found color pencil to be the medium of choice, and was told by family members to go beyond just drawing gifts for friends. This began Bluewater Artworks, a husband and wife team that develops fine art, prints, and note cards. All matting, framing and fitting work is done in-house to produce a superior archival product. Both avid kayakers, photography is used primarily as the source for inspiration on a project. Christy and Russ Camerer live in Olalla, Washington on the beautiful Kitsap Peninsula.
