Artist Statement:

I am a very eclectic artist. My interests range from from paintings to wearable art. I am constantly experimenting with different techniques. I am truly obsessed with making things.
I am influenced by many things... history, fantasy novels, myths and legends, and emotions.

I work in acrylic and collage. I love texture and color. I texturize with spackle and paint. Eggshells,beads,and clay are a few things I inbed into the paintings. I use painted papers, painted tissue paper and computer images. I scan photos of some of my other work into the computer, to make paper for collage

Digital art has become one of my favorite mediums.

I recently joined a Yahoo digital art group and we work on weekly challenges.

I was born and raised in Illinois and moved to Washington in 1981.

I am a self-taught artist. My schooling consists of a few college classes. I am married and have a 22 year. old son.

I am constantly experimenting in my artwork. I love the process of making art, sometimes the outcome isn't important.

Sewing and painting are just a few of my many loves.
