Artist Statement:

Suzanne Burns received her art degree from the University of Washington.
She has been a member of the Verksted Gallery in Poulsbo, WA for 7 years.
Her two dimensional work is metaphorical, often whimsical and every so
often attempts a deep thought or two. Her vision is to bring a smile from
a viewer, or a moment of enlightenment!

From a family of writers, including Daniel Defoe, Ms. Burns' first paintings were published in 1994 in a tiny book called
GARDENS OF LIGHT.
This book was written in 1994 as the artist worked on an oil painting by the same name. The book includes random thoughts on growing older and better, deeper and wiser, and discovering ones' gifts along the way. The
book includes original artwork and a matching bookmark, and has sold over
1000 copies through the Poulsbo gallery, local art fairs, and word of
mouth. Two limited edition prints are available from this book.
